Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso have finally found the secret to burying their decades-long feud, and that’s finding someone else to team up against. Luckily there was no better enemy to take down than Terry Silver and his growing horde of obsessed Cobra Kai dojo members.

Finally establishing the balance between their ying/yang ways of life, it seems they are actually learning from each other (crazier things have happened!). But what now?

Cobra Kai Season 6 Release Date

Filming for Cobra Kai season 6 began on January 18, 2024. Currently, the goal is to wrap up filming by July 31st, 2024. Additionally, the first behind-the-scenes photo from Cobra Kai’s sixth season was made available by Netflix.

Currently, there is no official release date, but we could likely see Cobra Kai Season 6 by the end of 2024, most likely in December. While it is confirmed that the show will be renewed, there have been no formal statements about the premiere date of Cobra Kai Season 6.

However, Writer and producer Jon Hurwitz tweeted in July 2022, “All I can say is that we expect more Cobra Kai to come and that the Miyagiverse is far from finished.”

Actor Ralph Maccio also suggested there was footage for season six already, adding to ComicBook.com, “There’s stuff that they wrote in Season Three that didn’t happen until Season Four, ’cause there wasn’t any more room in Season Three. There’s stuff that was in Season Five that we know we shot that is being held for the future if we get that green light, so there’s more to come, we hope.”

Deadline reported that production is set to begin this spring. Previous seasons of Cobra Kai have only taken two months to film, so taking into account the time needed for editing and post-production, the earliest we’re likely to see the final season is at the end of 2024.

Again, as nothing’s been confirmed, it’s hard to say for sure. Though Season 6 has yet to be written, we do know that Ralph Macchio and William Zabka will be returning as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence respectively. We also expect to see the return of regulars such as Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser and Jacob Bertrand.

  • Martin Kove as John Kreese
  • Xolo Maridueña as Miguel
  • Tanner Buchanan as Robby
  • Peyton List as Tony

Cobra Kai Season 6 Plot

According to Cobra Kai Season 6 Prediction, Kreese will be released from jail in Season 6 with one more chance to establish his legacy and prove his successful philosophy. The season five finale left us with as many resolutions as it did cliffhangers.

Firstly, Silver was exposed for cheating at the All-Valley tournament, and his team must now decide to join Eagle Fang/Miyagi-Do, or quit karate for good. Kenny, who had gone from a sweet-natured nerd to a cold-hearted bully under the teachings of Silver, is likely going to feel this the most.

With Kreese and Kim, the Cobra Kai dojo will most likely go to other regions of the country or the world. With the upcoming world tournament, the karate conflict logically extends worldwide. This may allow Sensei Kim to return to her home dojo in South Korea. Furthermore, it allows Kreese to avoid capture. Because the upcoming season of Cobra Kai is the final one, it is expected to wrap up any loose ends.
