Tata Motors is getting ready for an exciting year in 2024 by releasing some new cars that will be very popular in India. After releasing the Punch EV, the company is planning to introduce more cars and SUVs that are different and meet different needs. Let’s take a closer look at the new Tata vehicles coming out in 2024.
Tata Altroz Racer – A Swift and Spunky Hatchback
Slated to launch around March 2024, the Altroz Racer is a sportier variant of Tata’s premium hatchback. Powered by a new 1.2L turbo-petrol engine producing 120hp and 170Nm torque, it packs a bigger punch than the regular iTurbo version.
With its enhanced performance credentials, the Altroz Racer is aimed squarely at the Hyundai i20 N Line in India’s hot hatch space. Its energetic power delivery, sharp handling and aggressive styling could give the Korean hot hatch a run for its money.
Tata Curvv EV – An Electric SUV to Watch Out For
One of Tata’s most exciting launches will be the Curvv EV, slated for a July 2024 release. It will debut ahead of the standard Curvv with an internal combustion engine. Built on Tata’s new dedicated EV platform, the Curvv EV could offer up to 500km range on a single charge – setting a new benchmark in the still-nascent electric SUV space.
With its coupe-like styling and long range capabilities, the Curvv EV promises to turn heads and convert skeptics when it arrives this year. It takes direct aim at the volumes garnered by ICE SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
Tata Curvv Diesel – Style and Performance in an ICE Package
For diesel aficionados, Tata will be launching the Curvv Diesel in August 2024. It retains the head-turning coupe-SUV design of the EV version but packs a potent 1.5L diesel motor sourced from the Nexon.
Making 115hp power and 260Nm torque, the oil-burning Curvv combines quick acceleration and high fuel efficiency. It offers the style and features of the Curvv EV in a conventional engine option for buyers wanting robust diesel motivation.
Tata Harrier EV – Pushing the Bar for Electric SUVs
By end-2024, Tata plans to launch the eagerly awaited Harrier EV. With an expected 500-550km driving range and AWD capability, it could redefine performance expectations from an electric SUV.
Tata may also introduce lower-spec RWD and FWD versions to make the Harrier EV more accessible. This flexible platform approach and long range make it a formidable rival to ICE stalwarts like the Toyota Fortuner and MG Hector.
With this diverse range of launches, Tata Motors seems all set to cater to a wide spectrum of car buyers in 2024. Blending performance, range and style innovations with a keen focus on value, this lineup holds exciting potential for both the company and Indian motorists. With cutting-edge technology, powerful performance, and sleek design, these upcoming releases are poised to make a significant impact on the Indian automotive market.
